Finding Millhill

From Kirkwall Airport· approx. 7.5 miles
Turn left out of the airport terminal on the A960 and continue on this road (now the B9050) past Deerness Stores and Deerness Community Hall. Take the next road on the left for approx. 0.2 miles, then turn right onto the new road to Millhill.

From NorthLink Ferry, Stromness
Follow signs to Kirkwall. At Ayre Filling Station take the right turn at the roundabout onto Pickaquoy Road, past Tesco, and turn right at the mini roundabout onto Junction Road. Turn left up Clay Loan; at the top turn right onto Bignold Park Road (A960) signposted to the Airport (3 miles). Continue past the Airport for a further 7 miles (now the B9050), past Deerness Stores and the Community Hall, take the next left for approx. 0.2 miles and turn right onto the new road to Millhill.

From NorthLink Ferry, Kirkwall
On exit from the terminal turn left towards the town centre. At the Ayre filling station roundabout take the 2nd exit past Tesco and turn right at the mini roundabout onto Junction Road. Turn left up Clay Loan, at the top turn right (A960) signposted to the Airport. Pass the Airport and continue for a further 7 miles on the B9050 past Deerness Stores and the Community Hall, take the next left for approx. 0.2 miles and turn right onto the new road to Millhill.

From Pentland Ferries, St Margaret's Hope
Take the A961 towards Kirkwall and cross all four Churchill Barriers. Immediately after the fourth barrier turn right onto the B9052, following signs to Deerness. Turn right at the T-junction with the A960 (which becomes the B9050). Pass Deerness Stores and the Community Hall on your left, take the next left for approx. 0.2 miles and turn right, signposted to Millhill.
